Here’s a list of some of the sources for the things I use. These are not paid endorsements (if you’re a supplier and you want to give me money we can talk). I’ve generally had good luck from these companies and organizations but your mileage may vary. Links to specific tools or products may be affiliate links which provide a commission to me at no additional cost to you.
Suppliers
Adafruit – I’m a pretty big fan of Adafruit. Not only do they have a huge selection of electronics components, their tutorials are geared towards the maker and hobbyist just getting started.
Arduino – If you’re programming with the Arduino language, this site is a great resource. I generally use Arduino clones so this is more of a language source for me.
Bramble Berry – When I need some soapy sudsy supplies, I find Bramble Berry to be an excellent resource. They have a great selection of soap making supplies for just about every level of the craft.
Cool Tools – When my crafting randomness pivots to jewelry making and metal clay, Cool Tools is my go-to resource. They have a great selection of tools and materials.
Micro-Mark – It’s right in the name—micro. If your jam is small, scale models, terrain, buildings, or really anything “not full scale”, Micro-Mark is an outstanding resource for tools, materials, and kits.
Sparkfun – Very similar to Adafruit and really focuses on electronics creators of all levels of experience.
