Creative ADD
My fondest memories as a child are of making cheap plastic model airplane kits on the living room coffee table while watching Japanese monster movies. In the fifty or so years since then, I’ve been on an endlessly evolving creative journey. Here are just a few of the things I dabble in to greater or lesser degree.
Maker to the core
In front of a computer, I can work my way through the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. I’ve embraced the switch to DaVinci Resolve and can muddle through Blender, C4D, and have recently begun dabbling in TouchDesigner. I also love Excel (don’t tell anyone).
In the shop, I’ve made Irish lap harps, animatronic pirate skulls, book nook dioramas, and cassette tape loopers. I can surface-mount solder, design a basic PCB, code some reasonably complex microcontroller madness, and take an idea from concept through modeling to fabrication.
I’m happiest when I’m in the studio making some random thing or sharing my passion for creating with others.
These are a few of my favorite things
I’d say I’m pretty good with mostly most of the things on this list… at night… mostly. The trouble with being a jack of all trades is mastery is fleeting!
